This
documentary was a University project but while working for it, we
merely forgot it as something to be submitted within a deadline.
Visiting to Siuri and witnessing the whole method of processing a cocoon
to a thread to a marvelous piece of cloth was quite of an experience.
We are grateful to Mr. Ashok Kumar Das who guided us in the whole
Tantipara region.
We
were equally awestruck to see the creativity and mechanism of designing
a tussar in the factory of Mr. Sanjay Bhowmik and Mrs. Suparna Bhowmik.
In the outskirt of Kolkata, this factory is a place of fresh air and
immense peace. Thank you Bhowmik couple for letting us shoot the way how
you two have been weaving dreams together and giving us splendid Sarees
to wear.
The
music was taken from a live recording of Dipalok biswas and Jyotirmoy
Chakrabarty, from an episode of Vibes. Thanks Dipalok and Jyotirmoy for
awesome performance.
Last but not the least, thank you Calcutta University for giving us the opportunity to make this documentary.
Also special thanks to Mrs Papia Chakraborty and Mrs Rumpa Sengupta for being an awesome support to this whole project.
Thanks and stay tuned.

But if you seek to gain some knowledge about it, this article feeds you with all you need to know about the place. Location Initially the enclosed market behind the Oberoi Grand Hotel on the Lindsey Street was termed as the New Market . But in today's parlance the entire shopping area stretching from the Tipu Sultan Masjid in the north to the Indian Museum in the south is called New Market. This is essentially the Esplanade (Dharmatala) area with the Esplanade Metro Station. Monon is an open genre music group created in June 2018 , in Kolkata under the initiative of Bananti Chakraborty, a vocalist focussing on Indian classical music and Md Jakir Hossain , a Bangladeshi folk singer popularly known by Bibagi Limon , as his YouTube channel is named after. To go by the literal meaning of the name, it's all about the expression of thought process that can be in any genre, any language and any place. Though based in Bengal, Monon welcomes worldwide music under its shade, more like an umbrella term for nearly any music genre, as long as the authenticity is maintained in its raw form. The concept is to explore and understand the depth of each genre and bring out the significance to the audience. There's no concept of a permanent membership in this group: musicians stick together by the bond of true music. Jakir and Bananti performing in Trigunasen Auditorium, JU.
